On Location - Inspiration on Reflection

I went out on location two days in a row with the intention of finding a location to set up a scene to film, or even to happen upon something by accident.
I firstly went to People's Park but it is too nice.
I collected a number of photos from the location, with the intention of possibly working into them with colour, much like Turner's Helvoetsluys.

JMW Turner's Helvoetsluys
Using the Google Art Project, I have been able to explore the painting closer.

There is such variety within this painting. Especially when viewed up close, there is so much information, so much texture. It is certainly exciting to zoom in on and would definitely be a dream to see in person!

The Google Art Project is something I have used numerous times and find truly useful. It has helped me to explore paintings I only wish I could analyse in person. If anything this project could give a better view of the works, for so many are hidden behind glass and behind barriers. But of course, I do not think anything could truly compare to seeing a painting in the flesh.
